The Symantec PreVal program is designed for use by customers who are looking to do a little 'tire kicking' just before a product reaches general availability and who do not need full Symantec support. The code can be used for any internal purpose and the program provides an early, no obligation opportunity to evaluate the product in a non-production environment prior to purchase. All products available on this site will be fully tested prior to posting.

What do you need to participate?

• A CID (Customer ID). If you are new to our system, just follow the directions on the login page that follows to get your CID.
• Review and signoff (clickthrough) of the PreVal licensing agreement.
• Two of the following identified are required in your product application: Symantec Sales Engineer, Symantec Sales Representative, Symantec Account Manager.
• Approval of your request by the identified Symantec Engineer, Representative and/or Manager.
• Ability to download large binary bundles to your location.

What will you not get from the PreVal Website?

• While feedback on the product will be accepted through your Symantec Representative, the PreVal time frame means that feedback cannot be incorporated into the upcoming release.
• No guarantee that the feature set in the upcoming released version will exactly correspond to the PreVal version.
• Evaluation license keys generated for this program will provide access for one 60-day period only.
• No extensions or additional license keys will be provided through this program.
• There is no support provided through the Symantec Technical Services or Development organizations.
• Code available through this site cannot be installed into a production environment or bundled into your products.
